Rockville, MD
Creditron, a leading provider of remittance processing and receivables management solutions, today announced that it has deployed its ItemAge remittance processing solution at Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity in Lackawanna, New York.
Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity is a foundation that raises funds for the life-saving programs at Baker Victory Services, which delivers programs that assist more than 3,500 children each year.
The foundation previously processed donations manually, which delayed the updating of donor records. By deploying the Creditron remittance processing system, Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity expects to significantly accelerate donations processing, streamline the lookup of donor information, and support the organization’s “green” initiatives through reduced paper storage.
“The speed of the Creditron system will enable us to acknowledge our donors in a more timely fashion. Faster acknowledgements will result in more satisfied donors, in turn, driving donor cultivation and the potential for more donations,” said Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity Chief Financial Officer Melinda E. Buckley. “The efficiencies provided by Creditron’s system also will free mailroom staff to focus more of their time assisting the organization’s development efforts.”
Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity selected Creditron’s ItemAge remittance processing solution based on the solution’s ease-of-use, fast processing, automated creation of bank deposit files and seamless data uploads to the organization’s donation processing system from Bernard Consulting.
The organization uses Creditron’s ItemAge platform to process mailed-in donations. Its ItemAge platform includes components for courtesy and legal amount recognition (CAR/LAR) for personal and business checks, intelligent character recognition (ICR) for reading checkboxes and machine and hand-printed text, processing credit card information from remittance stubs, positive files for stopping processing for flagged accounts, and web-based image and data archive and retrieval.
ItemAge also enables the organization to electronically deposit payments using Check 21, which has accelerated funds availability and eliminated the need for staff to transport checks to a bank branch.
The platform runs on two desktop Canon CR-190 scanners.
“Donor cultivation is key to a foundation’s success,” said Creditron CEO Wally Vogel. “ItemAge supports the mission of Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity by speeding donor acknowledgement, and providing the efficiency gains necessary for the organization to focus more of its limited resources on its mission. We are pleased to help Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity in its work.”
