Arizona County to Deploy Creditron’s Remittance Processing Solution

Wednesday, April 16, 2014

Rockville, MD

Creditron, a leading provider of remittance and receivables automation solutions, today announced that the company is set to deliver its ItemAge Express remittance processing solution to Mohave County, the second largest county in Arizona by area with a population of roughly 200,000 people. The county will deploy the solution later this quarter.

ItemAge Express will enable Mohave County to improve efficiency, lower its overall transaction processing costs, reduce exceptions, and accelerate funds availability through the use of Check 21.

Mohave County previously outsourced it remittance processing to a bank lockbox provider, which resulted in a high percentage of exceptions requiring the county to perform costly and time-consuming manual processing. Creditron’s ItemAge Express eliminates the need for staff to manually pre-sort and significantly reduces Mohave County’s manual keying.

Moreover, ItemAge Express will automatically upload remittance information to Mohave County’s customer information system (CIS) from Tyler Technologies – another key reason that the county selected Creditron as its remittance processing solutions provider. The fact that Creditron was deployed by other billers that use Tyler Technologies’ CIS system also was a key selling point.

“Government entities are under tremendous pressure to improve operations efficiency and accelerate cash flow,” said Creditron Founder and CEO Wally Vogel. “By bringing its remittance processing in-house and deploying an image-enabled remittance solution, Mohave County not only will reduce its costs, it will have the tools for eliminating exceptions. It’s for these reasons that we are seeing stronger demand from counties of all sizes for automated payments processing solutions.”
